Also, Every trip you take with us helps to improve the local economy and the sustainable tourism culture that we’re building. And while our team is busy ensuring you have a memorable experience, please go through the traveler responsibilities mentioned in the handbook.

  1. Please be informed about all the activities mentioned in the provided itinerary.
  2. Tour Coordinator timings are: (Max to Max) 9.30AM to 6PM and 6PM to 8.30AM while Camping.
  3. Please adhere to the guidelines and time limits advised by the tour coordinators from time to time.
  4. Please carry water-bottles wherever necessary.
  5. Do not throw garbage anywhere and make sure you dispose the waste properly.
  6. Please assist tour coordinators in camp setup. They will guide you with the process.
  7. Do not consume intoxicating substances in Village areas & public places.
  8. Avoid last minute change in plans. Please confirm all tour related details beforehand.
  9. Please be polite to everyone you interact with during your travel. We have a lovely team here!
  10. Please ensure to carry your ID card with you along with other travel essentials.
  11. Offbeat Destinations may not have network. We recommend complete detox from gadget-life. If network is a must-have, please let us know.
  12. Finally, understand that we interact with a lot of travelers all having different expectations and comfort level. We tend to the likes of backpackers, luxury travelers, explorers, leisure travelers and budget travelers. So, our tour designs keep changing based on the requests we receive. Please be updated with the type of tour design we provide you and ask for necessary changes beforehand.

Ecotourism Rules

  • No direct confrontation with the Wildlife and eco-sensitive vegetation.
  • Your culture and beliefs may be different from your hosts. Respect local culture, practices and traditions.
  • Water is precious. Don’t waste it.
  • Turn electrical appliances off when not using.
  • Reduce waste and dispose all waste appropriately.
  • Do not wear bright colours in forest areas.
  • Complete silence is essential to spot birds/wildlife.

Ecotourism Guidelines 

  • Protect the environment – keep to footpaths, don’t leave litter or start fires.
  • Don’t interfere with wildlife – don’t scare or feed the animals.
  • Avoid Packaged Water – Well-water in Konkan is mineral enriched and pure as it percolates through the laterite rock. And Free.
  • Support local communities – Stay in locally owned accommodation and buy produce from local people.
  • Eat local food – avoid products that you can easily get in your city.
  • Learn – There is a lot of traditional and culinary wisdom in the Villages.

Consent:

  • I consent to the use of photos or videos taken during the trip for promotional purposes by KTC.

How to Get Here?

If you're up for an adventure you may also choose to drive down with your Vehicle.

  • Nearest Railway Stations: Sawantwadi Road, Kudal, Pernem, Madgaon.
  • Far Option: Belgaum Railway Station.

Trains are the most cost-effective mode of travel and an overnight journey from major cities. However, train tickets get full faster than expected, especially in the rush season.

Overnight Luxury Sleeper/Seater buses run daily from all metro cities. Most buses going to Goa pass through Sindhudurg.

  • Nearest Airports:

Sindhudurg Green Field Airport, CHIPI; 

Goa International Airport, DABOLIM.

  • Early Pick-up prior to the specified time is chargeable
  • KTC owned vehicle will be available at lesser price than market rates
