Bhogave is one of those beaches that most people drive past on the way to somewhere more obvious. It’s quieter than Tarkarli, less visited than Malvan, and the water here is clear.

Sunlight Resort sits right on the beach. Rooms are AC, sea-facing, and simple — the kind of place where you spend more time outside than in. The food is Malvani, cooked fresh, and that alone is reason enough to stay.

It works well as a base for KTC experiences in and around Vengurla — the beach, the mangroves, the local trails, and the village walks are all close.

Good for: Couples, small groups, anyone who wants to be near the water without the noise of a larger resort area.

Fishing Village — Half Day Spend a morning at a working fishing village near Bhogave. Go out with local fishermen, see how the catch comes in, understand how a coastal community actually functions. Not a performance — a real place that runs on its own rhythm.

Scuba Diving The waters around Malvan and Bhogave are among the clearest on the Maharashtra coast. KTC organises scuba dives with trained, local dive operators. Good for first-timers and certified divers both.

Heritage Walk — Dhamapur Dhamapur Lake and its surrounding area carry layers of history — a Mughal-era dam, a dense forest, and a silence that is hard to find near the coast. A half-day walk here is a different kind of Konkan experience.

Nivti Golden Rock Trail The trail to Nivti takes you along the coast and through a landscape that changes as you go — rock formations, sea views, and a fort at the end that most visitors never reach. KTC leads this trail with local field experts.

Lighthouse Boating A short boat trip off the Bhogave coast, past the Vengurla lighthouse and the surrounding islands. The best time is early morning, when the water is still and the coast looks different from out on the water.

Recently, I explored South Konkan and visited Khavane Beach for kayaking. During this trip, I stayed at Venga SeaCliff Resort, and I must say it was a wonderful experience. I would rate the resort 10/10 for the view. The beach is just 1.5 km away, and from the balcony of the resort, you can enjoy a beautiful sea view. The infinity swimming pool truly adds charm to the stay, and the restaurant also offers an amazing view, making dining very pleasant. One important thing to note: it takes around 8–9 hours to reach the resort from Pune, and the restaurant closes at 4:00 PM. So, make sure you either have your meal on the way, reach before 3:30 PM, or carry your own food. Overall, it was a great stay and a memorable experience. For kayaking at Khavane Beach, the charges range from ₹100 to ₹200, depending on the activity, and it is absolutely worth the experience.

Wonderful Stay at Sunlight Beach Resort, Bhogwe ⭐ We had a fantastic 3-day stay at Sunlight Beach Resort, Bhogwe as a group of 15 people including kids and the experience exceeded our expectations. The resort is right on the beach, offering a serene, almost private-beach feel. With 8 well-maintained rooms, it feels homely and perfect for groups who want peace and exclusivity. Bhogwe itself is far less crowded compared to Devbaug and Tarkarli, which made our stay even more relaxing. The location is very convenient too—just 8 km from Chipi Airport. The ambience is awesome, calm, and soothing. A special mention to the owner, Aniket, who is truly a gem of a person. He is always available, goes out of his way to help, and ensures that guests feel comfortable and cared for throughout their stay. The food deserves a separate appreciation. Over our 3-day stay, we enjoyed 7–8 different fish preparations, and each one was absolutely delicious. Credit goes to Aniket’s wife, who single-handedly manages the kitchen and prepares all the meals with immense care and taste. We relished dishes like Surmai, Sawandala, Saranga, Pomfret, Bombil, Prawns along with chicken cuisines—every dish was lip-smacking. Hats off to the cooking! One incident truly highlighted Aniket’s kindness. While returning to Pune, I forgot my watch at the airport security check-in. Aniket personally coordinated with the airport officials, retrieved my watch, and couriered it to me in Pune—purely out of goodwill. Such gestures are rare and truly heartwarming. All in all, I highly recommend Sunlight Beach Resort for its excellent food, comfortable stay, beachfront location, easy access, and most importantly, the warmth and hospitality you receive. Cool cool cool, Here's what I experienced at this place. Resort is so quiet, they have Coconut trees & swings in there resort. Modern huts for enjoying your food. Food - Self cooked by family no outside cooks nor any staff. They cook best Malvani food & expected quality was served by them & on time. Rooms are good, clean, neat & tidy. All Family members help us there for every need. Family members are so polite & friendly with us. They have private beach attached to resort. Beach is quiet, clean & can enjoy sunset also. Bhogave Beach & Niviti beach is close to this place.
