Internship Programme

With the booming tourism sector and increased exposure to Konkan, we believe it is critical to create an eco-tourism economy with maximum local participation. We believe that there is a lot at stake in our villages that needs to be preserved and highlighted. Tourism can act as a medium for regional development and the preservation of traditional wealth. A considerable skill gap also exists, limiting the use of local human resources in business. This internship is the first step toward bridging the skills gap and developing a skilled workforce.

Features

Cross-functional Teams

Automation and single-focus work produce faster and more efficient results, but innovation occurs only when different disciplines collide. Creativity is frequently lost in the pursuit of efficiency. Hence, we use a cross-functional team system to foster creativity and innovation in our projects. People with different functional expertise work together to achieve a common goal in cross-functional teams.

Given this, we train every member of our team in field operations and the ‘Village Development Programme.[Thus, each member is part of the operations team]

Members are then assigned to the “Web & Graphics,” “Client Relations,” and “Content & Marketing” Teams based on their prior skills and areas of interest. These three teams share certain members among themselves. Finally, the members of the Strategy & Service Design’ team are selectively chosen from each of the four aforementioned teams.

As a result, each team has at least one member from every other team.

Structure

The internship will place a greater emphasis on hands-on practical work. Semi-structured training will be provided. This means that candidates will be introduced to the tools and workflow through online sessions and field sessions at first, and subsequently, they will be expected to find new resources and build techniques through self-learning.

Payment

Internship payment will be bi-monthly i.e given after every two months of the six-month period. The internship payment will be evaluated based on the effort, time, and value of work done. The criteria for evaluation will be shared in the orientation session with the candidates.

Certification

All interns will be given a ‘Certification of Appreciation’ after successful completion of the 6 month internship period. The certificate will mention the particulars of work/achievements done in the 6 month period.
