Bagayatdar Farmstay sits deep in the forested hills of Zolambe, in Dodamarg, Sindhudurg’s smallest and wildest taluka. You reach it on foot, along a hilly forest path that is part of the experience. Once you arrive, the forest takes over: birdsong, rain-heavy trees and long, quiet hours.
This is not a hotel. There is no room service, no television and little or no mobile network, and the power can go out. What you get instead is home-made food, walks through plantation, farm and forest with your hosts, and a kind of solitude that is hard to find anywhere else in Konkan.
